Bugs can also go straight to the GitHub issue tracker. A device model, an iOS or Android version and a short description of what happened are enough to get started.
Touch and hold anywhere on the playfield. A pressure cloud grows under your finger — drag to move it, release to detonate. The blast pushes away every shape inside its radius and breaks the ones it hits hard enough.
Shapes drift in from the edges toward the core in the middle of the screen. The run ends when a shape reaches the core.
That was an overpressure. Holding past the charge limit makes the cloud fizzle instead of detonating, and it costs points. The rim of the cloud flickers through the last quarter of the charge as the warning — release before it does.
Shapes that drift inside the cloud drain it. Move the cloud away from them, or release earlier.
Both are on the main menu, next to the colour palette. Environment changes the physics (Vacuum, Air, Water, Plasma) and the background; the modifier changes what a release does — Pressure, Implosion, Magnet, Gravity well or Chain spark.
Open Settings and lower the render quality. Low turns the bloom post-process off entirely, Medium renders the scene at 75% and blurs once, High is full resolution with two blur passes. Turning haptics off helps a little too.
On iPhone and iPad, sign in to Game Center in the Settings app. A Leaderboard button then appears on the main menu and after every run, and opens the board for the environment you are playing — each of the four has its own. Without Game Center the button stays hidden. Android has no leaderboards.
The best score shown in the app is kept only on your device, one per environment. Deleting the app removes it, and there is no cloud backup, so it cannot be restored remotely. Runs you played signed in to Game Center stay on its leaderboards, but they are not copied back into the app.
No. Everything Puff needs ships inside the app and it plays fully in airplane mode. The only use of the network is Game Center: when you are signed in, finished runs are posted to the leaderboards.
None. The app is free and complete as it is.
iPhone and iPad on iOS 14 or newer, and Android phones and tablets. Puff leans on GPU fragment shaders, so a very old device may need the Low quality setting.
Puff collects no personal data. Scores you post to Game Center are handled by Apple. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
