Lexify — vocabulary flashcards
Reporting a problem with a card
Every card has a small flag button in its corner. Tapping it opens a short form — pick what is wrong (translation, image, pronunciation, meaning) and add a note. The report is sent as an e-mail that already contains the deck, the card, the language pair and the image style, so we can find the exact card without you having to describe it.
If your device has no mail app configured, the report is copied to your clipboard instead — paste it into an e-mail to the address above.
Frequently asked questions
I bought a deck. What exactly did I unlock?
The whole deck: every language pair it offers and every image style. One purchase, no add-ons. You can put the same deck on your home screen several times — for example Czech → German and English → Spanish — at no extra cost.
I reinstalled the app and my decks are gone.
Open the deck store and use Restore Purchases in the top bar. Purchases are tied to your Apple or Google account, so they come back. Your learning progress is a different matter — see below.
Is my learning progress backed up?
No. Which words you know is stored only on your device, and uninstalling the app removes it. There is no account and no server, which is also why we cannot restore it for you.
Does Lexify need an internet connection?
Only the first time you add a deck, to download its images. After that the deck works fully offline.
Pronunciation does not work for a language.
Lexify uses the voices built into your device rather than shipping audio files. If a language has no voice installed, the app offers to take you to the system settings where you can add it. On iOS this is Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices; on Android it is under Settings → Accessibility → Text-to-speech.
A translation or an image looks wrong.
Please report it with the flag button on the card. Card text is human-reviewed, but with 17 languages across every deck some errors get through, and a report with the card key is the fastest way to get it fixed.
Which languages are available?
Every deck ships in 17 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Czech, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. You pick a pair — the language you know and the one you are learning — when you add the deck, and you can change it later by adding the deck again with a different pair.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. On iOS use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android use the Google Play order history.
