Privacy Policy

    Short version: Lexify does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The app works entirely on your device. No account is required.
  

1. Who we are

Lexify is a vocabulary flashcard app developed and published by Oldřich Vorechovský. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at oldrich.vorechovsky.jr@gmail.com.

2. Data we do NOT collect

Lexify does not collect, transmit, or share:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Usage analytics or telemetry
Crash reports or diagnostics sent to us
Device identifiers
Any data entered into the app

We have no server, no backend, and no database. There is nothing to collect.

3. Data stored locally on your device

Lexify stores the following data locally on your device only — this data never leaves your device:

Card priorities — which cards you found easy or difficult, stored in your device's local storage (SharedPreferences). Used for spaced repetition.
Downloaded deck content — deck JSON and images saved to app storage so the app works offline.

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

4. In-app purchases

Lexify offers optional in-app purchases to unlock additional deck packs. All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store any payment information. Purchase verification happens entirely on-device.

5. Text-to-speech pronunciation

Lexify can pronounce vocabulary words using your device's built-in text-to-speech (TTS) engine. This processing happens entirely on-device. No audio is recorded or transmitted.

6. Third-party services

Lexify does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party services involved are:

Apple App Store / Google Play — for app distribution and in-app purchase processing
Device TTS engine — provided by your operating system, used on-device only

7. Children's privacy

Lexify does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children. The app is safe for use by children of all ages. We comply with COPPA, GDPR-K, and similar regulations.

8. GDPR (European users)

Because Lexify does not collect any personal data, there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete under GDPR. If you have any questions, contact us at oldrich.vorechovsky.jr@gmail.com.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users through the app or App Store release notes.
